There is a brand new sport that is like surfing, wakeboarding, and flying all at once. If you’ve ever been to Pismo Beach on a windy day, you will see over two dozen kiteboarders in the water or doing tricks high above it. Most of these riders are ordinary people that are simply addicted to this amazing extreme sport called kiteboarding.
Kiteboarding uses the wind to combine the aspects of surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and windsurfing into one extreme ocean sport. The kite, anywhere from 6-20 square meters, powers the rider through the water. The kite will have either 4 or 5 lines up to 27 meters long that connect to a control bar, which the rider pushes and pulls to control the kite in any direction. The bar hooks into the rider’s harness, which is most often worn around the waist. A board similar to a wakeboard or surfboard enables the rider to fly over the water. The 4/3 E1 is a great suit for cool water temps and loaded with excellent features to keep you comfortable and enjoying your water time.
3000 4/3 E1 - Construction Details:
Dura-Mesh (on lower body). Sealed or 'closed-cell' outer rubber surface with a standard nylon stretch lining. Water runs off mesh faster than standard neoprene - cutting down wind-chill.
Apex-Mesh (on upper body). The top-performance, closed-cell H-Foam. Soft and highly flexible with an embossed micro-texture for added durability.
Glued and Blindstitched Seams An efficient, water-tight seam created through a triple gluing process in conjunction with a blind stitch that does not fully penetrate the rubber. The technique allows precise curved seams and facilitates a snug, anatomically correct fit.
Hotcell (on Inside Chest Panel ). Lightweight, quick drying polypropylene insulation. The cellular structure traps an insulating layer of warm water next to the skin, keeping the core temperature up.
3000 4/3 E1 - Technical Feature Details:
E1 Entry System features a medium length zip with a watertight panel located behind. This panel acts as a barrier to water entry through the zip, giving extra thermal protection.
Anti-choke neck V-cut neck panel designed for maximum flexibility. SCS wrist seals Form a waterproof seal and prevent sleeves from riding up.
Reinforced crotch A durable layer of latex reinforcement that resists harness wear.
Embossed Knee Pads Durable and flexible latex knee pads.
Adjustable ankle and arm closures Adjustable Velcro closures for improved comfort and fit.
