There is a brand new sport that is like surfing, wakeboarding, and flying all at once. If you’ve ever been to Pismo Beach on a windy day, you will see over two dozen kiteboarders in the water or doing tricks high above it. Most of these riders are ordinary people that are simply addicted to this amazing extreme sport called kiteboarding.
Kiteboarding uses the wind to combine the aspects of surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and windsurfing into one extreme ocean sport. The kite, anywhere from 6-20 square meters, powers the rider through the water. The kite will have either 4 or 5 lines up to 27 meters long that connect to a control bar, which the rider pushes and pulls to control the kite in any direction. The bar hooks into the rider’s harness, which is most often worn around the waist. A board similar to a wakeboard or surfboard enables the rider to fly over the water. Why the Sigma Outline and Geotech on the 2010 Cult
The 2010 Naish Cult continues as Naish’s Sigma Outline/GeoTech LE kite. The Naish Sigma Outline moves the center of effort behind the tow point and produces balanced linear power with light bar pressure at all angles of attack. GeoTech incorporates straight segments in the LE from strut to strut to provide constant canopy tension with a wrinkle free canopy, and no collapsing to assure a huge sweet spot.
2010 Universal Control System
The 2010 Naish Universal Control System has a new front line configuration that was inspired by the Naish Shift System. The front lines now have a 3m single line to a Y point. The front flagging leash system has been improved and weight saved by removing the stainless Center Line Organizer and Swivel. The bar comes standard with the Naish Smart Loop, auto-orienting sheeting loop, and optional sliding stopper.
With a greatly improved “through the bar” front line leash system, and new larger floaters, the 2010 Naish Universal Control System is more streamlined and functional than ever before. It will come standard with both the 2010 Naish Cult and Naish Helix.
